It is my great pleasure to introduce you to the new AIDA User Group Board of Directors. We had 13 candidates for 11 seats.

Today we also held our Annual General Meeting in person and via Zoom. The recording is going to be posted soon on our YouTube channel.

Do not forget about AI for Pi Day, which is going to be held on Pi Day (yes, yes). The Call for Paper (CfP) is open at https://aidausergroup.org/pidaycfp.

You, our outstanding members, have spoken. The 2024 board is composed of (the order is the number of votes decreasing):

  • Jean-Georges Perrin,
  • Ralf Roeber,
  • Heather Cole,
  • Paul Mendelson,
  • Rikke Jacobsen,
  • Paul Cortellesi,
  • Salomé Valero,
  • Stuart Litel,
  • Atanas Iliev,
  • Pierre-Nicolas Perrin, and
  • Martin Otto.

As our bylaws state, our board members have staggered terms. The following board members have agreed to serve only one year:

  • Jean-Georges Perrin,
  • Ralf Roeber,
  • Heather Cole,
  • Paul Mendelson,
  • Rikke Jacobsen, and
  • Martin Otto.

Those board members are incumbent, and they are enabling the new board members to enjoy their two-year terms fully. Those new board members are:

  • Salomé Valero,
  • Atanas Iliev, and
  • Pierre-Nicolas Perrin.

The following board members are IBM Champions (either lifetime or 2024):

  • Jean-Georges Perrin,
  • Ralf Roeber,
  • Heather Cole,
  • Paul Mendelson,
  • Rikke Jacobsen,
  • Paul Cortellesi,
  • Salomé Valero,
  • Stuart Litel, and
  • Martin Otto.

I would like to thank Mark Lack for his commitment and the work he delivered to our organization. Thank you to Naveen Karnam for running for the board. Unfortunately, we had only eleven seats to fill.

Finally, many thanks to Jens Bäumler and Ryan Dolley, who did not run this year and are leaving us.
