Cognos Corner: GPT/AI Integration for IBM Cognos Analytics Dashboards (ChatGPT, watsonx.ai …)

The assistant in IBM Cognos Analytics aids users in their daily tasks. However, there are still some limitations.

We demonstrate how an AI, such as a Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) model, can be integrated directly as a widget in a dashboard. This could be watsonx.ai or the currently very popular ChatGPT from OpenAI.

Here, we present how ChatGPT can be directly integrated as a widget in the Cognos Dashboard. Relevant data for the specific query can be directly specified as fields. The prompt – i.e., the question – can then be asked in natural language, including in every language.
